SAVANNAH, GA, JANUARY 5, 2017

Live Oak Public Libraries is pleased to welcome Sara Zimmerman to the administrative team in
the new role of Business Manager, and will be leading the organization's financial operations.
As Business Manager her responsibilities include budget preparation and oversight; maintenance of the general ledger; debt and grant management; purchasing and payroll; bank reconciliations; accounts payable; and accounts receivable.
She will also be responsible for various financial reports and compliance, management of the annual financial audit, and special project duties. She will be reporting to the Library Director and work closely with various organization stakeholders, primarily the Library Director and the Regional Board of Trustees Treasurer to prepare the Library's annual budget and financial reports.
Her position with the library became effective Jan. 3, 2017.
Ms. Zimmerman came to us from the Columbus Metropolitan Library where she served as the Accounting Services Manager working with an annual budget of more than $80 million. Her experience also includes a career in auditing government and nonprofit organizations. She has a Master of Accounting from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University. Ms. Zimmerman is a Certified Government Financial Manager and Certified Public Accountant.
