A Message from Our Executive Director
Region 2 Arts Council
Hello!
For the past two years, Region 2 Arts Council has enjoyed being a part of the Rail River
Folk School community in Bemidji. Working alongside such artistic and innovative
individuals and organizations has impacted us in positive ways.
On September 30, 2017, we will be moving out of our current Region 2 Arts Council
office space to a temporary location within the Rail River Folk School Building at 303
Rail Road Street SW in Bemidji.
This move is bringing us one step closer to our permanent home with the Watermark Art
Center at 505 Bemidji Avenue.
We are planning to be located in our temporary space at Rail River at least through
November 2017 and possibly longer.
Rest assured, our temporary office will be staffed from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through
Friday. If you would like to meet with us one-on-one, you are welcome to stop by or
make an appointment (call 218 751-5447 or email [email protected]) to meet with us. Our
staff also plans to be out and about in our five counties more than usual in October and
November. We'll let you know more details as our plans unfold.
Thank you for your flexibility!
Sincerely,
Laura Seter, Executive Director

Recently Funded Projects
Region 2 Arts Council
This is a small selection of Region Two Arts Council's grant recipients from the past fiscal year. Not all awardees are listed in this partial slide show, but it includes grantees from every county in our region: Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, and Mahnomen.
These activities were made possible thanks to the voters of Minnesota through a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund, money from the State's general fund, as well as funding from the McKnight Foundation.

Board Member Vacancies
Region 2 Arts Council
Currently we need one resident each from Lake of the Woods and Mahnomen counties to become a member of our Board of Directors. This is a great opportunity to understand the workings of the granting process, to be more involved with the arts and artists of your region, and to enjoy camaraderie with others that appreciate the arts.
Interviews for board members have begun and will continue into October, or until positions are filled,
for each two-year term.
