UPDATE ABOUT HURRICANE RELIEF:
As you may know, officials have asked that donations NOT be taken to various shelters. For your convenience, we are designating the Dallas County Democratic Party as a drop-off location for needed supplies in the central Dallas area. We will be transporting these supplies to the Trusted World location for you.

CENTRAL DALLAS DROP-OFF:
DCDP Headquarters
Central Dallas Area Drop-Off

4209 Parry Avenue
Dallas, Texas 75223

Join us for our women's toiletry drive on August 30 from 6-8pm at HQ - 4209 Parry Ave., Dallas 75223. Bring tampons, pads, etc. to donate, and come hear from Tammi Kollinger from Take Charge. Period.! If you can't make it to the party, we'll be collecting donations at the office all month, so stop by and drop off your donation during office hours on any day leading up to the big event.

The battle to take back our country starts right here in Dallas County. We need your help. Join us. We are standing together to change this country for the better.

5th Dist. Court of Appeals Candidates

Excited to co-announce with my Democratic Party Chair counterpart in Collin County, Mike Rawlins, that our Fifth District Court of Appeals slate is continuing to expand. We have Bill Pedersen and Cory Carlyle confirmed, and Dallas County Civil District Court Judge Ken Molberg is strongly considering a run. You may recall he ran a very strong campaign in 2014, and we came very, very close with Judge Dennise Garcia and Judge Gena Slaughter in 2016. Per the Texas Constitution, Judge Molberg would be allowed to seek a bench on the Court of Appeals without giving up his current court.

This is a six-county race, and the local parties are encouraging people to run and providing information on how to run and opportunities. Please note we cannot and do not determine who ultimately decides to run, or endorse in the Democratic Primary. But we are working to fill out our 2018 slate for these races and others, and we will run a strong coordinated effort against the Republicans in November. Let's stand together for change in 2018!

--Carol Donovan, DCDP County Chair

If Trump Fires Mueller,
Are You Ready?

Progressive organizations across the nation are  preparing contingency plans for the possibility that President Trump will provoke a constitutional crisis by firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Dallas organizer Liz Wally says "This is a protest we don't want to have," but we have to be prepared.

If this happens, then protests will begin at Dallas City Hall.

IF MUELLER IS FIRED BEFORE 2 PM, THEN PROTESTS WILL TAKE PLACE AT 5 PM.

IF MUELLER IS FIRED AFTER 2 PM, THEN THE PROTEST WILL TAKE PLACE AT NOON THE FOLLOWING DAY.

This is nationwide. See more at Nobody Is Above The Law .
