An Exciting Week
It has been a very exciting and busy week at St. John's. The holiday spirit can is alive all around; the Christmas trees are up in lobby, on the terrace, and in All-Saints' Hall; the wreaths have been hung on the doors of the Historic Church and Clark House; and our 4s students have donned their little red capes. We've also got zipper clubs starting, and hard work being put into Christmas Letter Books.
The week began with the opening of the much-anticipated Scholastic Book Fair in the morning and our Lower School Christmas Program that same evening. All-Saints' Hall was filled with adoring families, friends, teachers, staff, and alumni in awe of the show before them. Viewers enjoyed songs such as "Noel", "Carol of the Bells", and "Christmas Star", sung and played on violins, boomwhackers, and xylophones
—and they might even have been hit by a rogue marshmallow from a mischievous cup of hot chocolate!
By the time you're reading this, we'll have presented both of our EC Christmas Programs, which tell the tale of the Nativity, while mixing in fun, classic Christmas songs, a few snowballs, and a special visit from Santa Claus!
We would like to extend a huge
"thank you" to all of our teachers, assistants, parents, volunteers, and staff who make the Christmas Programs happen so smoothly. It takes many days of work to create, practice, and set up for these programs, and it's truly appreciated.
