MORGAN CREEK GOLF COURSE DEFENDS PGA OF BC PRO-JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
On a sunny day in Surrey, Morgan Creek Golf Course successfully defended the Champion title at the 2016 Jack McLaughlin Memorial PGA of BC Pro-Junior Championship presented by PING, this year on their home course.

The Morgan Creek Golf Course team consisting of Professional Ryan Worrall, and junior players Riley Janssen, Thomas Hazelden, and Bonnie Zhai, shot a team two net best-ball score of 126 (-18) to claim the Championship.

FORMAT CHANGES MADE TO NIKE GOLF PGA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OF
CANADA REGIONAL QUALIFIER
Hosted on Tuesday, August 9 at Whistler Golf Club, the Nike Golf Team  Championship of Canada Qualifier will award teams one of the nine coveted spots allocated to British Columbia in the $90,000 Nike Golf PGA Team Championship of Canada.

Teams must consist of two eligible PGA of BC members in good standing, one of which must be a Head Professional, Head Teaching Professional, Executive Professional, or Master Professional. Teammates are not required to be affiliated with the same facility. Changes have been made to this year's format and purse structure, click here to view changes and register by July 29, 2016.

2016 PGA OF BC AWARDS PROGRAM NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN
Each year, the PGA of BC honours top achievers for excellence in the golf profession by  awarding the PGA of BC Awards.  We are pleased to announce that nominations are now  open for the 2016 PGA of BC Awards 
program.  
 
Individuals can be nominated for awards in the following categories:
  • Golf Professional of the Year
  • Class A Professional of the Year
  • Candidate for Membership of the Year
  • Golf Facility of the Year
  • Teacher of the Year
  • Golf Shop of the Year
  • Junior Golf Leader of the Year
  • Sales Representative of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Professional Development Award

SCHOLARSHIP AND BURSARY OPPORTUNITIES 
The PGA of BC is proud to announce that it is once again offering a scholarship and bursary program. The Jim Gibson Scholarship and the Forestar Golf Community Leadership Bursary , each
 $1,000 to the deserving winner, will be given out at the October Awards Celebration. Applications are now being accepted until August 31.
 
The $1,000 Jim Gibson Scholarship is named in honour of the late Jim Gibson and is a tribute to the commitment and dedication of this long-time ambassador of the Association. The award is given to an individual of the PGA of BC community that best exemplifies volunteerism, and continues to show dedic
ation in furthering their education to benefit others in their community. 

In partnership with Forestar Golf Sales Ltd., the PGA of BC is proud to announce the development of the $1,000 Forestar Golf Community Leadership Bursary. This bursary is awarded to an individual who demonstrates an extraordinary desire and passion to use their unique gifts and abilities in order to make a significant difference in the lives of those around him/her, and in doing so, sets an example of "giving back" that all PGA of BC members can be proud to be associated with. 

Please note that non-members of the Association are eligible to win these awards, but they must be nominated by a member in good standing of the PGA of BC.
