Rep. Jackson, Archbishop Aymond
to Speak at Life March South Saturday

BATON ROUGE, La. - Louisiana State Rep. Katrina Jackson (D-Monroe) and Archbishop Gregory Aymond, Archdiocese of New Orleans, will be featured speakers at Saturday's Louisiana Life March South in Baton Rouge.

The Life March South is the first of three similar events being held across Louisiana on three consecutive weekends. The event includes a pro-life march from Galvez Plaza near the Old State Capitol to the State Capitol, where a program of prayers, speakers and music will be held on the Capitol steps.

The Life March will begin at 10 a.m. Participants will gather a few minutes before 10, then proceed on Fourth Street to the Capitol.

A life ministry mobilization area at the Capitol will be manned by area pregnancy centers and organizations, and participants can visit the tables before or after the program. Others scheduled to participate in the program include the Rev. Joey Laird of The Church, Dorothy Wallis of Caring to Love Ministries, and Loretha Green with Louisiana Black Advocates for Life. The Bethany Praise Band will provide music.

In case of storms, the program will be held inside St. Joseph's Cathedral, 412 North St.
