In an effort to support the High School Trips and other school initiatives, we have an on-going bottle drive at Clear Water Academy. This is an easy way to contribute!
Drop off your bottles, cans, and milk jugs to the shed next to the gym. The shed will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm. Monday to Friday.

Enrollment Deadline for
2018/2019
Is Fast Approaching!
A reminder that our Enrollment Deadline for current families for the 2018/2019 school year is
on or before Friday, December 15th.
Our existing Clear Water Academy families will have priority placement in next year's classes. However, we have a number of grades that are currently full with waitlists. To confirm your child(ren)'s placement for the 2018/2019 school year, please submit the fully completed Enrollment Agreement to the Admissions Department on or before Friday, December 15, 2017. Open places will be offered to new applicants on our waitlists after this date.

Novena for the 33 Deacons who will be Ordained Priests
As we are celebrating the anniversaries of our priests, Fr. Michael (December 10, 1 year) and Fr. Alex (December 12, 2 years), there are more young men preparing for ordination this year in Rome. We would like to invite you to remember these deacons in your prayers by joining us in a novena for them.
Each day there is a brief reflection about what ordination is as well as a prayer to say for them. It is a beautiful way to offer our support and learn something about the priesthood at the same time. The novena was prepared by the sister of Fr. Michael as he was approaching this important day.

Christmas Concerts 2017

Bessborough Hall Christmas Concerts this year will be held during the day on

Alumni Mission Trip Fundraiser Bake Sale!
In support of the 2018 Alumni Mission Trip, the Alumni of Clear Water Academy will be selling Christmas baking to parents before & after the Elementary Christmas concerts on Friday, December 15th.
The bake sale will also be open to students and staff on Monday, December 18th. Baked goods will be $5.00 and Christmas cookies will be $2.00.

Host Our NET Team!
Our NET team has been in Calgary for a few months now and we are so blessed to have them work with our students again this school year.
These seven young adults from NET (National Evangelization Teams) Ministries of Canada minister to students of Christ the Redeemer School Division, including Clear Water Academy. These young men and women will spend the school year helping your child(ren) grow in their character, human, spiritual, and apostolic formation.

Walking with Purpose
Women's Study
Walking with Purpose is a beautiful program for women interested in growing in their faith through a guided study of scripture.
The program started this week, but it's not too late to join! The next session will be on Tuesday, December 19th. Each session will begin with the celebration of the Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m.
Dates for the study:
Dec 19, Jan 23, Feb 27, Mar 20, Apr 17, and May 22.
Cost:
$25 (includes the workbook)

Jr. High Debate Tournament
On November 30th, CWA held its first internal Prepared Debate Tournament for Junior High students. There were 24 debaters that worked hard to prepare their research for the competition and did a fantastic job demonstrating their logical and critical thinking as well as their public speaking skills.
We also had 18 additional student volunteers from Junior and High School as well as parents and teachers to fill the roles of moderators and judges. All participants and volunteers enjoyed a pizza supper together in between two rounds of debate. The first, second and third place teams as well as top two speakers of the tournament were awarded certificates and gift cards. Congratulations and thank you to all participants!
The final Junior High debate club meeting of the year will take place on Thursday, Dec 14th from 3:45 - 5:00 p.m.
