PARTNER SPOTLIGHT - TAYLORMADE AND ADIDAS GOLF
In the spring of 1979 a golf equipment salesman named Gary Adams took out a $24,000 loan on his home and founded the TaylorMade Golf Company. Counting him, there were three employees and a single, innovative product: a 12-degree driver cast of stainless steel. This new metalwood looked and sounded different from a wooden wood, and most importantly, it performed differently.
Adams, the son of a golf professional, was adamant that TaylorMade clubs maintain ties to what true golfers perceived an authentic golf club should look and feel like. They were committed to combining innovation with authenticity, to always be passionate about the game, and pledged to be competitive - to work hard to establish itself and grow.
The same values singled out 30 years ago by Gary Adams are still revered and practiced today at TaylorMade and adidas Golf as they continue to deliver products that help players of all skill levels reach their potential.

FOUR APPLICANTS PASS PLAYING ABILITY TEST AT HAZELMERE

2 DAYS LEFT TO REGISTER FOR NIKE GOLF PGA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OF
CANADA REGIONAL QUALIFIER
Hosted on Tuesday, August 9 at Whistler Golf Club, the Nike Golf Team
Championship of Canada Qualifier will award teams one of the nine coveted spots allocated to British Columbia in the $90,000 Nike Golf PGA Team Championship of Canada.
 Teams must consist of two eligible PGA of BC members in good standing, one of which must be a Head Professional, Head Teaching Professional, Executive Professional, or Master Professional. Teammates are not required to be affiliated with the same facility. Changes have been made to this year's format and purse structure, click here to view changes and register by July 29, 2016.

LAST WEEK FOR EARLY REGISTRATION FOR PGA OF BC CHAMPIONSHIP
Taking place August 22 - 23, 2016 at Royal Colwood Golf Club, those interested in early registration savings for the TaylorMade & adidas Golf PGA of BC Championship presented by Axis Insurance Managers Inc. are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
The early registration deadline is August 1 at 4 PM, after this date the regular registration rate applies.

BC DAY OFFICE CLOSURE
Please note that in observance of the BC Day holiday, the PGA of British Columbia administration office will be closed on Monday, August 1. Regular office hours will resume Tuesday, August 2 at 8:00 a.m.

On Monday, July 25 the PGA of BC hosted its annual Sponsor-Media Invitational at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club. We would like to thank the over 100 sponsors and media friends in attendance for their continued support of the Association and its members. We would also like to thank General Manager Mike Smedstad, Head Professional Brian Coe, and the entire Mayfair Lakes staff for making this day possible.

Congratulations to Matt Matheson (Golden Golf Club) who shot even-par 70 to claim this week's Kootenay Pro Series Tour event this week at Fernie Golf & Country Club. Matheson took home $400 for his win, followed by Chris Medford (Cranbrook Golf Club) one stroke behind, cashing the $300 second place cheque.
Congratulations to Luke Bogdan (Ledgeview Golf Club) who claimed this week's Srixon Tour event by five strokes at Sandpiper Golf Club. The win earned him the $500 champion cheque, while Phil Jonas (Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club), Bryn Parry (Point Grey Golf & Country Club), and Mark Kitts (Quilchena Golf & Country Club) finished in shared second, each cashing $350.
