Concrete Cowboy, Cow Tipping Creamery, The Donut Kitchen and Eleven More!
The Dallas Cowboys named 14 new retail partners for their headquarters, The Star in Frisco, early 2017 additions to what is known as the $5 billion mile section of the Dallas North Tollway.

The 91 acres at The Star, when fully developed, will make up about $1.5 billion of that total.
The retail area will include the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor Walk, a signature feature that will honor the team and its history. The retail area is just south, across the street, from the team's world headquarters and The Star's 12,000-seat football stadium.

Charlotte Jones Anderson, the team's chief brand officer, said that in addition to the eight tenants announced in May, The Star's first phase of retail development is about 75 percent booked.
Interest in the other 25 percent, she said, has surpassed capacity as the retail community at The Star is somewhat selling itself.

Community Blood Inventory Reaches Critical Level
Carter BloodCare is asking for the greater community's help as the blood supply in a 56-county area has reached a level of urgent need. Volunteer blood donations are a critical link to help prevent disruptions in patient care at hospitals. The critical situation is such that during the week between Christmas and New Year's (Dec. 26 through 31), the blood transfusion requirement by hospitals, for their patients, was much greater than anticipated - even for this time of year. This has contributed to the already challenging seasonal efforts for routine blood collections.

In response to the urgent requirement for blood products, Carter BloodCare is asking all eligible blood donors in the communities where the blood center services hospitals, to consider making a donation. There are 25 blood donation center locations website at carterbloodcare.org.

The Price of Privilege
Frisco ISD's counseling department is sponsoring a seminar on a very timely parenting topic on January 31, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the FISD Administration Building, 5515 Ohio Dr., Frisco TX 75035.

Smart, well-liked and seemingly confident teens from affluent, loving families are experiencing epidemic rates of depression, substance abuse and anxiety disorders - rates higher than in any other socioeconomic group. Materialism, pressure to achieve, perfectionism and disconnection are real challenges. In this session, parents will learn how to help their kids cope.  Dr. Madeline Levine will address this issue and speak about ways to help students.
