Today's Announcements
  • Young Republicans club members: Mark your calendars for January 20th.  The Young Republicans will be hosting an inauguration celebration in room 325 on January 20th starting at 8:30 in room 325.  Each member that remembers to wear their club shirt will be eligible to sign up for door prizes.  So come and get your red, white, and blue, sprinkle donut and join the fun!  
  • Freshmen, sophomores, juniors & faculty please check outside of the activities office that your name is spelled correctly and that the picture that is featured is the one you would like to use in this year's yearbook! If something is wrong, please mark on the panels outside the activities office or go to room 329 to make the changes by this Friday, Jan. 20, at 4:00 p.m. 
  • Are you interested in playing sports at the college level?  Learn more about what is necessary to be able to compete at the collegiate level.  See flyer for details: College Bound Athlete

  • Attention students taking a CPS Online course(s) this semester:  Please check your CPS student email for log-in information and announcements about the course.  
  • Sports Physical Day!  Student-Athletes interested in completing on an RB athletic team in the 2017-18 school year must have a sports physical dated on or after 2/1/17.  Take advantage of the Sports Physical Day provided by COG on February 11th.  See flyer for details: 2017 Physical Day
  • Parents & students may send a Valentine surprise to a student, teacher or special friend at RBHS.  See flyer for details: Valentine's Day Surprise!
  • The stadium is an active construction site.  The only path to the turf/track is North of the Baseball shed to the North West opening in the fence.  For no reason should a fence be moved or jumped.
  • Parking permits are $25 for January.
  • The deadline to buy a yearbook is Jan. 31, 2017. Bring $50, either cash or check, to room 329 to order one today!

COLLEGE VISITS
  • FRESHMEN STUDENTS - Leadership In Practice  program is now accepting applications.  Leadership in Practice was developed by the Missouri Chamber Foundation to engage Missouri high school students in hands on, real world leadership training. The program is divided into five areas:  global leadership, civic leadership, economic leadership, ethical leadership and personal leadership.  The   2017 Leadership In Practice program is set for June 25-28, 2017.   The application period will run from   January 1, 2017 to April 1, 2017.   • Attention sophomores, juniors and seniors:  The A+ Program at Rock Bridge is sponsoring a college visit to State Fair Community College (Sedalia, MO) on Friday February 3rd.  We depart at 7:30 am and will return by 2:30 pm.  Lunch is provided and the absence is coded field trip.
     
    State Fair accepts A+ scholarship funding and has a variety of 2 year associate degrees including nursing, teaching, dental hygiene and many career/technical programs.  See all program offerings here: https://www.sfccmo.edu/academics-programs/areas-of-study/ .  State Fair has on-campus housing and also offers some programs at satellite campuses, including Boonville.
     
    Permission slips are available in the Counseling Office and are due no later than Thursday Feb. 3rd at 9 am.  See Dr. Alexander or Mrs. Reed with questions.
     
  • SENIORS:  Salute to Seniors Community Scholarships applications are now available! There are over 50 scholarships available specifically for Rock Bridge Students!  Make sure you apply!  Deadline for Salute to Seniors scholarships is Thur., Feb. 16 by 8:55 a.m. You can find all the information you need here:  http://www.cpsk12.org/Page/12146
  • Attention Junior Girls:  Missouri Girls State will be interviewing soon for their 2017 summer program.  In order to interview you must sign up in the counseling office (no later than Friday Jan. 27th).  Interviews will take place on Sunday February 5th at 2:30 pm at the American Legion building off Hyw. WW (E. Broadway).  Girls State is held Sunday June 25 through Saturday July 1 at the University of Central Missouri (Warrensburg).

The purpose of Girls State is to promote pride in America and to create a mythical state that the citizens will govern at the city, county and state level. We will have speakers who serve as leaders in our Missouri government as well as hold important offices in our communities.  If selected, there is no charge to attend.
