The air was filled with joy, spiritual fervor, and unity as the first ASLPN Regional Solemn Assembly
took off with a bang on Saturday, August 15th
2017.
The Assembly, planned for the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area was most significant as s
ounds of praise and worship filtered through the community from inside the Church of the Living God in Fairfax Station, Virginia where participants took time to worship the Lord as they were led by several Praise and Worship leaders from the area surrounding the Nation's Capital.
The event attracted Believers,
Ministers, Intercessors, and ASLPN members who converged to cry out to the Lord on behalf of America. Prayers covering the Nation (especially in light of the crisis at Charlottesville,
Virginia); the
Region, the Church, and family rang out to the Lord and s
houts of joy and victory were all over the room as participants showed and spoke renewed commitment and determination to make impact on the nation by their prayers.
In his address to the gathering, Pastor Michael Dada,
National Vice Chairman of ASLPN, charged those in attendance to fulfill the Scripture in Jeremiah 29:7,
"
seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace."
Pastor Kwasi Gyimah, Cabinet Leader of ASLPN, in his own address continued with the same admonition as he recounted how Daniel was a man who was not originally from Babylon, but made remarkable contributions to that nation and stood out as one whose faith was noteworthy and exemplary.
Similarly, in his keynote address, Pastor Michael Obi, National Coordinator of ASLPN highlighted the role of intercession, especially the impact of united prayer, over the spiritual atmosphere of the nation.
There are plans for other ASLPN Regional Solemn Assemblies to continue with prayer for the Nation. The next one will take place in New York on Saturday, September 15th at Staten Island, while the another one will take place in New Jersey on Saturday, September 30th, 2017.
These regional Solemn Assemblies lay the groundwork for the ASLPN National Solemn Assembly which will hold next year in the Washington D.C./Maryland area.
