Parent/Teacher Conferences:  Save the Date!

Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for January 18 th from 2:30 until 5:00.  Please note that this is a change from previous parent/teacher conferences.  Due to a very light attendance at the January conferences we have changed the time of the conferences to see if this time frame better meets parents' needs.   If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call Carole at 751-1230 or email her at:  [email protected] and she will be happy to help you.

Parent Focus Group
We are looking for additional parents to join the Parent Focus Group.  The purpose of this group is to provide feedback regarding the blended learning program.  The group meets every other month prior to the P3 meeting at 5:30.  If you are interested in being a member of this group, please contact Jeanine Flick at 487-3101 or by email:  [email protected]   Thanks for considering joining this group.

From the Office of Student Life

Focus of the Week:
Tardy Policy
Students are given up to 4 unexcused tardies a quarter without disciplinary action. Anything above 4 tardies in 1 quarter will result in disciplinary action, see below:
                - 5 or more tardies results in all school detentions
-10 or more tardies results in a cleaning detention and a demerit
-15 or more tardies will result in a Saturday detention.
Tardiness to class will be handled individually by each teacher and are listed as a minor infraction. Habitual or excessive tardiness to class may be referred to the D ean of Student Life and will be treated as a serious infraction. Students must be in each class before the bell rings. Any student not inside the classroom before the bell rings
will be considered tardy.
A reminder that excessive tardies that cause missed class time can result in a student not receiving credit for a course.

Dress Code Reminder
Only Purcell Marian sweat shirts and hoodies are to be worn in the school during the school day. We also allow Purcell Marian sport team jackets as well. Any other item worn during the school day will be confiscated by teachers and can be picked up by the student at the end of the day.

Blended Learning - Parent Advisory

Are you interested in discussing how Blended Learning is working for your child?  Need more information on what is coming in the future?  Please join the Parent Advisory, we need you.  The school is asking for parent feedback on Blended Learning and how it is working for your child.  You don't have to be a teacher or educational specialist to sit in on the meetings, you just have to know how your child learns.  Please let Jeanine Flick know of your interest by emailing her at [email protected]

The next meeting is February 13 at 5:30 pm in the conference room.

Breakfast Buddies

Big news:  we are getting a refrigerator from Breakfast Buddies from P3.  The plan is to get a refrigerator delivered by Friday 1/13.  Lunch items are the most needed.  Click the link to see what is requested and to sign up.  Or bring in any items to the front office any time.  Everything is greatly appreciated.
