Where: Tulameen to Hope BC in the North Cascades Mountains
When: Saturday Sep 9, 2017
Distances: 50 mile or 19 mile (80 km or 30 km)
Why: On foot, experience the route of the fur brigade packhorse trains crossing the Cascade Mountains on the Hudson's Bay Company Heritage Trail of 1849. Run through five of the original fur brigade camps between Tulameen and Hope. Beautiful trail on well-signed route.  Celebrate Canada's 150 birthday on the first commercial trade route in British Columbia. There will be prizes for the history quiz!  

Two Brigades
Tulameen Brigade (50 mile/80 km) from Tulameen to Hope, elevation gain 3157 metres, loss 3890 metres.
Jacobson Brigade (19 mile/30 km) from Jacobson Lake to Hope, elevation gain 1305 metres, loss 2480 metres.

Festivities
This race coincides with the annual Hope Brigade Days. Your race entry includes a bracelet that allows you to take part in the activities including Saturday night concert and Sunday demolition derby!

Preview the Route
We will be offering trail work days so you can get to know the trails.
Before the race, you can also stay at the campsites along the well-signed route. Outhouses included.

Ans: No, this is a foot race.
