Islamic schools possess a priceless asset that must be harnessed and guided to its optimal capacity. The gift of faith that is inherent in us is a powerful instrument, which can be used to nurture and inspire the innate potential in each individual. Educators have an obligation to use the power of faith to inspire our youth to excel in all they do and serve not only the school community but humanity as well.

Shura Council member, ICOI's community service and engagement group, OC Unity Now!, joined with hundreds of excited volunteers at Decorators' Village to help Paradiso Parade Floats in prepping thousands of flowers to be affixed to this year's Rose Parade floats.
On December 31, 2016, SCMCO organized a charity event called "Joint Masjid Toy Drive for Immigrant Kids." The event was supported by 24 masajid and organizations and attended by local dignitaries, civic and religious leaders. Click here for pictures.

The Islamic Shura Council is an umbrella organization of Mosques and Muslim organizations serving the Muslims of Southern California. Since 1995, the Council continues to foster the spirit and culture of "working together" at all levels in one of the most diverse and largest Muslim populations in the country.
