Greetings in the New Year!

We are off to a good start with the addition of a new team member, Philip Guevarra. Philip is a student at CSUSM studying Mass Media. His first assignments are the Escondido Chamber weekly e-newsletter and the Chamber Social Media. Be sure to connect with the chamber through our social media links, which are at the top of this newsletter. You can reach Philip at philip@escondidochamber.org.

Philip is also taking charge of a new program that we are introducing with the new school year this fall called "Rising Star", honoring high school seniors who are serving others. There a number of opportunities where you can be involved in this program from "swag bag" gifts to scholarship funding. Stay tuned for more information...

We are excited to have a strong team to kick off the new year, a team that will be working with our members to make 2017 the best year possible!

Sincerely,

Rorie Johnston
