93, 93, 93 AND 91 POINTS - MOVING EXTREMELY FAST!!

The last of the heralded 2009 and 2010 vintages of Howell at the Moon , Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon ( Napa ) have been sheltered in a temperature controlled cellar here in Dallas. That distributor deeply discounted them yesterday. Having tasted these wines over and over again  ( with great gusto ) through the years, we immediately procured them.  The Estate Cabernet is from 3 plots on Howell Mountain. They made a little over 700 cases of each vintage. The Knoll Vineyard is at the very top of the hill, the most sun, the most exposure the best drainage, the coolest nights and most elevation in this most heralded of micro climates leads to rich explosive complexity. Every wine listed below is beyond outstanding, highly discounted and no longer obtainable. Please take 5% discounting on any mixture of 6 bottles and 10% discounting on any mixture of 12 or more.

All the best, Rex & Michele

2009 Howell At The Moon Cabernet Sauvignon The Knoll Vineyard, California
  $125 per, now $89.00
2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Knoll Vineyard is deeper, richer and sweeter than the straight bottling, but not materially more complex, just different in style. Layers of super-ripe, intensely perfumed dark fruit flow through to the intense finish supported by firm yet well-integrated mountain tannins. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2029.

2010 Howell At The Moon Cabernet Sauvignon The Knoll Vineyard, California
$125 per, now $89.00
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Knoll Vineyard is slightly more restrained aromatically, but it explodes on the palate, creating a broad swath of ripe cassis, black cherry, crushed rock and forest floor notes. Full-bodied, opulent and sexy, this beauty is ideal for drinking over the next decade. Drink: 2013 - 2023

2009 Howell At The Moon Cabernet Sauvignon, California
$89 per, now $72.50
Layers of black fruit, smoke, licorice, incense and melted road tar come together in the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain. This is an especially plush, dense Cabernet for Howell Mountain, but the sense of structure is always present. All the elements are beautifully integrated. Rich and inviting, the 2009 impresses for the way it captures fabulous textural depth while avoiding excess heaviness. The precise finish is totally striking. This is a great effort from Howell at the Moon. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2029.-AG
