Thank you Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust

P ets In Need has received a grant of $26,000 to support our mission, from the K enneth A. Scott Charitable  Trust, who has been a consistent and generous friend.  This year's grant is the fourth since the clinic opened in 2013.  Before Pets In Need became a stand-alone nonprofit in 2012, the Trust provided the funding to establish the part-time Pets In Need program at the UCAN Nonprofit Spay Neuter Clinic. We are beyond grateful!

Our vision aligns perfectly with the mission of the Trust, which is to extend in perpetuity the generosity toward animals in need shown by Kenneth Allen Scott during his lifetime, and to assist those who care for them today.  Learn about the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust
Welcome UCBA Students

Pets In Need welcomed the University of Cincinnati Blue  Ash Veterinary Technology Program students for their spring practicum. We're looking forward to helping them learn and grow, as they share their passion for helping animals with our clients.

Pets In Need has partnered with the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash Veterinary Technology Program since 2013 to provide clinical experience for sophomore students and extra attention for our clients and their pets.  Through weekly teaching clinics,  students get to work hands-on in treating pets and interacting with real clients in a real clinic setting.

It's a common misconception that our pets are naturally equipped to survive the cold winter months. But the fact is, winter can actually be a quite dangerous season if we don't take proper precautions to protect our animals. Like humans, our pets are susceptible to frost bite and hypothermia. Volunteer Spotlight
Volunteer Madeleine enjoys a snuggle with Nova, who came to PIN for her booster shots.

At Pets In Need, we love our volunteers! From assisting our clients to unloading
large donations of pet food, we rely on their time and talents to carry out our mission of helping pets in need.

Pets In Need volunteer Madeleine started volunteering with her mother, Lexie, when she was a student at Summit Country Day. She's now a freshman at American University in Washington, DC, but still enjoys volunteering whenever she's home on breaks.  Madeleine grew up in a household full of animals, with parents who stress volunteering and community service. At PIN she helps the front desk staff by answering phones, making reminder calls, and assisting clients. She has an older brother named Drew who also helps PIN by bringing over loads of dog and cat food from the warehouse.
