Join the York Small Business Enterprise Centre for free one-on-one business consultation right in the Town of Georgina!

Whether you are thinking of starting up a new business or you are already established, let's review your ideas and business needs together. Consultations cover information on general start-up advice, financing, marketing and operations. If you are growing a business, they may be able to provide information about financial opportunities and expanding your staff, space or capital investment.

Registration is free and secures your spot for a private one-hour session with a Small Business Consultant. Appointments are scheduled between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and spaces are very limited.

The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) invites members of the agriculture community to join a webinar on September 6th, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the Agricultural System. 

This webinar is intended to increase the awareness of the agricultural community on the province's draft Agricultural System mapping and Implementation Procedures (see below for details). It will also provide an opportunity for OMAFRA to gather your ideas on how to maximize the benefits of moving to an Agricultural System across the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

To participate you must pre-register by September 1st by calling OMAFRA's Agiculture Information Contact Centre (AICC) at 1-877-424-1300 or by sending an email to [email protected]

The Ontario BIA Association (OBIAA) is planning on offering a Professional Development day on November 6th, 2017 in Niagara Falls.

They need your feedback on the day, please take 5 minutes to fill out this survey, so OBIAA can best accommodate your needs.

Town of Georgina Economic Development & Community Betterment Grants.commbett

The purpose of this Grant Program is to provide funds to support festivals and events that are aligned with the ongoing initiatives being undertaken by the Economic Development and Tourism Division. Eligible events, festivals and programs are those that assist with enhancing the identity of, and create an economic impact within the community. These events will also support the development of the Town's Cultural Plan and create an increased awareness of opportunities available in Georgina.  
 
Anyone interested in the grant program is asked to contact Cristina Liu to review the proposed submission and application process before submitting an application.

2nd Annual Georgina Mayor's Charity Motorcycle Ride & Poker Run September 10th. 

Join us for the 2nd Annual Georgina Mayor's Charity Motorcycle Ride!

The Registration fee is $35.00 for bike & rider (+ $10.00 for passenger). The ride begins at the Sutton Legion with registration, coffee and muffins at 9:00 a.m; Kickstands up at 10:30 a.m. Riders will proceed along a 4-hour scenic route (with stops), and concludes with a BBQ back at the Legion.

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
