Spring Forward! Change smoke alarm batteries March 12
Don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour for
Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, March 12. It's also a great time to check your smoke alarm battery and carbon monoxide detector battery, as many need replacing every six months.

Check the manufacturer date of your smoke alarms while changing your batteries.  It is recommended that you replace your smoke alarms every 10 years.  You can find the manufacturer date on the bottom side of the detector, usually on a sticker, located near the battery compartment.

Read about smoke detectors and safety tips from the Johns Creek Fire Department.
