Service Spotlight: CaDiLaC

Did you know that CDLC offers a way to search the holdings of all of our member libraries and library systems in one convenient place?  This discovery tool is called CaDiLaC.

CaDiLaC started as a union catalog on CD-ROM in 1990 and by 1994, dial-in access was available.  By the turn of the century, CDLC recognized the need to offer the product online and purchased URSA, a SirsiDynix product which was used for another decade.  However, with increasing costs and decreasing functionality, CDLC decided it was time for a replacement and in 2010, contracted with Index Data to provide a hosted solution using MasterKey software.

Since then, we have continued to work with IndexData to improve and tweak the system.  Most recently, we were able to add a "Staff Request" button to help streamline the process of requesting interlibrary loans with our eForm.

Comments or questions about CaDiLaC Online 2.0? Please contact  Sue Rahn  at CDLC.

Special Interest Groups Formed
