Celebrate the beginning of 2017 with the Latrobe Fellowship! Join us at 7:00 p.m. on January 11 for a service of Holy Eucharist followed by a champagne tasting in the Parlors. Heavy appetizers and sparkling cider will be served as well! The Latrobe Fellowship at St. John's Church is an active and engaged group of adults, both singles and couples, primarily in their 20s and 30s. Please contact the Rev. The Outreach Committee of St. John's Church partnered with the Olive Oil Ministry, a consortium of religious groups in the DC metropolitan area headquartered at Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ. In November of 2016, members of the committee hosted an olive oil tasting and sold bottles of olive oil which were distributed in December. The purpose of the sales is to help stabilize the Palestinian economy, support the quality of life of farming families, encourage sustainable agricultural practices, and to support the Tent of Nations' international peace center on a farm near Bethlehem.
