Welcome back to another great year at Fox Mill Elementary! I hope everyone's summer was full of fun.
My name is Brian Legler and I am your new PTA President. My family is vested in the school---we have three boys who attend and my wife Irelynn is a teacher here as well.
The PTA raises a significant portion of Fox Mill's discretionary money that supports critical initiatives that would otherwise go unfunded. In the 2016/17 school year the PTA funded a new computer lab. Our goal for 2017/18 is to bring an Innovation Lab to FMES. This STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) lab will provide a project-based, hands-on, technology-rich learning environment where students learn through structured "play."
The Fox Mill PTA raises money in a few different ways: memberships, flat donations, activities and fundraisers. Our major fundraiser for this school year is the Do-Good-a-thon. This is an exciting approach to fundraising based on community service and acts of kindness. We feel it is the perfect fit for Fox Mill Elementary. The Fox Mill PTA comprises parents just like you who want to ensure their children have the best experience in their days at Fox Mill Elementary. We encourage you to become actively involved in the PTA; involvement is one of the best ways to build relationships through the school-please join us in supporting your children as we strive to make this our best year yet!
Join us at Lucia's in the Fox Mill Shopping Center for our first Dining for Dollars event of the year! Mention you're dining for Fox Mill ES and the school will receive a portion of the proceeds. See you there!

A PTA membership is a great first step to support your children and your school. Membership is $10 per person and includes a student directory. Please join and support our Fox Mill students, faculty, staff, and school. Memberships can be purchased at pay4schoolstuff.com.
Attend a Meeting
Our PTA general membership meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. We encourage you to join the PTA and to attend these meetings. To have voice in your PTA and to vote at the meetings we need you to join.

Volunteer
There are a variety of opportunities to volunteer inside and outside of the classroom; visit the website to see a list of open volunteer spots. Once you've looked it over, consider helping in whatever way you would like---no experience necessary to participate on or to chair our committees. Experienced parents are always there to guide you.
