Grants to Expand School Breakfast

Get ready! On January 16, 2017, the California Department of Education will kick off a grant application process for new school breakfast funds. These competitive grants are open to all applicants and will prioritize high-poverty schools implementing or expanding after-the-bell breakfast.

Find out how you can access these important grant funds! Join us for two upcoming webinars.
  • Learn about key dates and critical steps for the grant application process
  • Get suggestions about writing a successful grant application
  • Hear about the challenges and successes of implementing after-the-bell breakfast with grant funds

CFPA and the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) invite you to join us at the  2017 CalFresh Forum on  February 1, 2017 in Sacramento!

Each year, CFPA's CalFresh Forum brings together hundreds of key stakeholders from across the state to identify opportunities and discuss strategies to improve the reach and impact of CalFresh. The 2017 CalFresh Forum will  focus on upcoming opportunities to improve how CalFresh serves vulnerable populations as we look to the future and continue to  work toward improving access  and participation across the state.

This year's program will feature workshops and panels led by speakers with varied and extensive policy and programmatic expertise. Registration is $50 per person and includes lunch and light afternoon refreshments.  The event agenda and presentation topics will be posted soon on  CFPA's CalFresh Forum webpage.
