The Rev. Roy Almquist was ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacraments on September 10, 1967. He served the Lutheran Church as a pastor in northern New Jersey and West Chester, PA and was then elected by his peers to be the Bishop of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod. After 12 years of faithful service as Bishop, he went on to serve the Episcopal Church at St. Peter's in the Great Valley and now at Washington Memorial Chapel in historic Valley Forge.
This September, Roy will celebrate his 50th Anniversary of Ordination. The people of God at Washington Memorial Chapel, are hosting a reception to honor this important moment in the life of the church! The gathering will be at the Historic Church of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in the Great Valley on September 24, 2017. We would be honored if you would attend. Menu: hors d'oeuvres, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. This is a ticketed event at a cost of $20 per person. Seating is limited. The reception begins at 3 p.m. There is a Service of Thanksgiving in the Historic Church at 4:45 p.m.

El Reverendo Roy Almquist fue ordenado al Ministerio de la Palabra y Sacramentos el 10 de septiembre de 1967.
