2017 SelectUSA Investment Summit draws record attendance
The SelectUSA Investment Summit boasted record attendance this year, welcoming nearly 3,000 participants from 70 foreign markets and the United States. This was the second year Great River Energy participated in the summit, which is billed as the highest-profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment in the United States.

Co-ops build community
People in rural areas banded together beginning about 80 years ago to establish electric cooperatives to address their need for power. Today, they continue to be consumer-owned and driven by a set of cooperative principles. One of these core values is concern for community, which is evident in Stearns Electric Association's operations.

Co-ops partner to secure funds for company's expansion project
When Loren and Peggy Davis realized their business, Diversified Bronze & Manufacturing, Inc., was outgrowing its rented space in Cambridge, Minn., they sought a different location to begin construction on a larger building. Working as L & P Properties LLC, the pair identified a space in the Braham Industrial Park as the perfect opportunity to build a new facility, then engaged a local bank and the electric cooperative to secure project financing.
