Merry Christmas! We hope you and your families are experiencing much joy and peace this Christmas season. With the jubilant celebration of the birth of Jesus, we Catholics are called to spread our Christmas cheer to everyone.

In a few days, we will be celebrating the end of the year and the start of a new one. This is a great time for reflection and prayer... to thank the Lord for all he has provided and to ask Him for his guidance in the future.

A perfect way to start the new year is attending Mass on New Year's Day, which is also the Feast of Mary, Mother of God. (A holy day of obligation, by the way!) This feast day celebrates that Mary is the Mother of God and proclaims that she was a major contributor to our salvation through Christ. It is very important to us Catholics as it proclaims that Jesus is God and that Mary gave birth to God. Reflecting on this Feast can bring forth a renewed belief in our salvation and forge a closer relationship to the Virgin Mary and Jesus.

We hope to celebrate Mary, Mother of God with you at Mass this weekend. If you are traveling, this website can help you find a Mass to attend: https://masstimes.org/

May your new year be blessed and filled with joy! Let the light of Christ guide you on your path and may God keep you in His safe protection. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
