Dear Families & Friends,

Welcome to our email update highlighting the happenings at Light of Hearts Villa (LOHV).

AROUND THE VILLA

Christmas Decorators Spread Holiday Cheer
Residents, families, and friends of the Villa gathered on the morning of December 3rd to trim trees, string lights, and have a good time together making the Villa glitter and glow. We are very grateful to our holiday decorators, who gave of their time and creative talents to spread the joy of Christmas to all who enter Light of Hearts Villa.

December Birthday Bash

H appy Birthday wishes went out to Villa residents Lucille and Trudy, who received special birthday proclamations from Bedford Mayor Stan Koci.

Warmest wishes go out to all of our residents celebrating birthdays this month.

  We Have a Winner!
Congratulations to Villa social worker Robert Evans, the lucky winner of four club seats to a Cavs game of his choice. Sister Helen Scasny drew the winning ticket on December 1st. Proceeds from the ticket sales will directly benefit the Sister Helen Scasny, SC Benevolent Fund and the residents of Light of Hearts Villa. Thank you to all who purchased tickets!

#WeGiveCatholic Results

We wish to thank our friends and donors whose generosity made this day such a blessing. We are truly grateful for your support of the Villa.

Fun and Games with
Notre Dame Volunteers
We would like to extend a special  thank-you to our Notre Dame student volunteers. "Game Night" with the students was a fun-filled holiday highlight for our residents this month.

Christmas Festivities at the Villa It was a December to remember at the Villa, beginning on December 9th with a special performance by residents in our Bell Choir. On the 10th, the First Catholic Slovak Ladies treated our residents to cookies and carols at the group's annual Christmas party. On the 15th, residents and staff partied with Good Old Saint Nick, and the following day the Bedford High School Madrigal Singers held residents in thrall with their lovely voices.

In Thanksgiving and Appreciation
Volunteer Anne Wade retired from her position as front desk receptionist on December 12th. Anne's friendly face and warm and helpful demeanor welcomed Villa visitors and residents for 25 years.
