"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'til his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?" -- Dr. Seuss

News from Nurse Cindy

With cold weather upon us please help your child choose warm, comfortable clothing for school each day, including socks. Make sure they are wearing a coat and you may want to consider a hat and gloves as well.
Parents should call the school if their child is sick or will be absent. If your child has been diagnosed with an illness, the school nurse or secretary should be notified and symptoms reported. This will help us to minimize contagious illnesses in the classroom setting. School attendance is not recommended when:
  • Student has a fever of 100 degrees or more
  • Signs of listlessness or undue fatigue (unable to participate in activities)
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Persistent cough
  • Generalized rash all over body or unexplained new rash
  • Sore throat with fever and enlarged nodules in the neck
Note: Student should be fever-free and without vomiting/diarrhea, without medication, for 24 hours before returning to school.
Please call if you have any questions or would like to discuss your child's illness.
If you have a change in phone number, remember to contact the school office. It is very important to be able to reach you in the event your child becomes ill at school. Have a safe and HEALTHY winter!
