Thursday,
August 17, 6:30 PM
PAWS Office, Newark, DE
Our PAWS for Reading program is based on the concept that a pet's non-judgmental acceptance and loving attention can help new and struggling readers feel more comfortable and less self-conscious when reading aloud. These sessions create a forum where readers can practice their skills in a "safe" place without criticism. PAWS' goal is to provide a positive reading experience where the reader builds confidence, strengthens literacy skills, and develop a love for reading. PAWS for Reading sessions are held during the day at schools and in the evening at libraries on a regular, set schedule.

Visiting Justin's Beach House
|
|
 B
arbara and Fred
McNally, with
Romeo the Doberman Pinscher, recently visited Justin's Beach House. Here is what Barbara shared with us about that visit.
"We had a wonderful visit. The family was warm, loving, and dog lovers. Meghan, the 'patient,' was especially dog loving, missing her lab at home.
She spent most of our visit lying on the floor next to Romeo, rubbing him and talking to him. Talk about a tear producing scene!!! She & her family & friends were lovely to be with: warm, friendly & easy to be with.
The visit was a pleasure for us.
"Romeo was on duty from the moment he arrived with no down time to walk halls like we have at Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth Beach. That constant, consistent interaction can be a lot!
"I would love to see Meghan and her family again and hope all is going well with her. She was a sweet, gentle, loving person.
Hopefully we get to go back to Justin's Beach House soon - a great experience!"
