Dr. Kissinger Henry Kissinger strikes an optimistic tone about US-China relation in a Trump presidency.
Dr. Kissinger offered his views at a forum held by the Committee of 100 and CKGSB at an elite private club, just a few blocks south of Trump Tower, where the President-Elect was holding a summit with U.S. technology leaders.

   In a good example of growing Israel-Asia venture capital deals, Hong Kong-based Arbor Ventures has led a $9.5 million, Series A investment in EverCompliant, a cyber intelligence company in Tel Aviv. Some of the new funds are going toward opening an Asian office in 2017. This is Arbor Ventures' third deal in Israel. Founder Melissa Guzy is a key speaker at

Amazon challenger in Europe, Zalando, is looking to China's more advanced ways of selling online to up its own game. Definitely, China is ahead in the way it uses WeChat to direct customers to stores, both online and offline.
 
Could virtual reality startups be in for a squeeze? Maybe so, if you believe a report that notes VR headset sales are slow and Chinese investors are losing interest.

Anacle co-founders, angel Singapore IT startup Anacle Systems has broken the barrier and scored an IPO on Hong Kong's GEM board. Silicon Dragon has been watching Anacle since angel investor Poh Kam Wong put his own money into the startup some 8 years ago.
 
JAPAN
Softbank is moving ahead swiftly to fulfill its pledge to invest $50 billion in US tech, putting $1 billion in satellite venture OneWeb.

INDIA
Sequoia Capital India has led a $3 million round in Mumbai-based digital entertainment startup Pocket Aces.

Sequoia Capital and Kalaari Capital have begun exploratory talks for a bulk sale of their holdings, which will include stakes in prized assets such as online retailers Snapdeal and Flipkart. The slow pace of exits is to blame.

Steven Rockefeller Jr. The Chinese Cultural Foundation held its annual holiday gathering and award celebration at the Harvard Club of New York, where John Catsimatidis, chairman and CEO of the Red Apple Group was honored, in part for his efforts to bring two pandas to a zoo in the upper reaches of Central Park. Silicon Dragon's Rebecca Fannin is photographed here with Steven Rockefeller Jr. at the special gathering.
