123 years ago the frames of  Effie M. Morrissey  were rising in an Essex Shipyard. 35 years ago the final work by Cape Verdeans was preparing  Ernestina for her new life back in Massachusetts.  As we consider the latest work in a Maine Shipyard (see below) we are gratified to see all the progress that 2016 has brought to Ernestina-Morrissey.  We are grateful for your wonderful response to our Annual Appeal.  The SEMA directors are working hard to ensure sufficient funding to reach the goal of a SAILING future for the ship and we will have exciting news for you in the New Year.  It's not too late to make a 2016 contribution to the Ernestina-Morrissey  Rehabilitation Campaign.   Donate TODAY!

Have a wonderful 2017!

Fair Winds,
Mary Anne McQuillan
Secretary, SEMA
