The furniture featured in this edition of the WallGoldfinger e-newsletter has all shipped within the last month to clients in New York, Philadelphia and Indiana - continuing our 46-year tradition of making unique pieces for clients around the country, and sometimes around the world.
If you had a chance to look at last month's e-newsletter, you might remember we focused on - despite our more than four decades in business - our five year anniversary in our factory. We moved to our current location in central Vermont in July of 2012 following major flooding in our previous location.
While that particular point in time is not one we like to recall, it has brought us to where we are today ... in an up-to-date, lean manufacturing space with the modern equipment and the same commitment to quality that has attracted so many big name clients over the decades.
The furniture featured in this newsletter touches a variety of sectors from corporations to organizations and, as I noted above, was delivered and installed from the East Coast to the Midwest. These pieces are but a snapshot of the work taking place in the factory recently and over the last five years.
These lists show a more complete look at the outstanding clients that have chosen WallGoldfinger over the last five years and over the last 46 years.
When I look at these names, I'm humbled. We look out our factory windows at green grass and trees. These clients work in the biggest and busiest cities and industries in the world. Most of our furniture makers will never see where their outstanding work ends up, but they know they have done an outstanding job because these clients and their architects return to us again and again for new pieces amid an industry where they certainly have choice to go elsewhere.
I like to think they choose WallGoldfinger because like a brand name watch or the safest, classiest vehicle on the market, they want the best. Maybe it's just our reputation for being able to do incredibly custom, highly-engineered work. Either way, we'll take it and look upon these lists as a map of our history and our future.
