Wednesday, August 15, 2017 - A Message from The Rector
"Engaging Life at St. Peter's in Many Ways"
Dear St. Peter's Parish Community:
Sunday, August 20 marks a significant day in parish life, and I hope that all who are able will be present for the occasion.
We end the more relaxed mode of summertime with a St. Peter's Parish Celebration: Rally Day, Ministry Fair, and Festive Eucharist for the Confession of St. Peter
.
Having transferred the January 18 feast of the Confession of St. Peter the Apostle to this day, the Vestry, Staff, Clergy, and lay leaders will gather with all ages at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall to learn more about ministry areas and how to get involved. This event will also host registration for children, youth, and adult formation classes, which begin August 27. This grand day will include splendid worship offerings at 8:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 5:00 p.m.
Realm, our new parish directory and community connection database is online.
The Staff, Clergy, and parishioner/IT Consultant, Rob Smith have been collaborating on the transition from ACS to Realm.
Realm
is a ministry tool designed to strengthen connections among
individuals, ministry teams, groups, guilds, and for special or emergency communications from the Parish House.
It is safe, private, and secure, and even gives enhanced convenience over online giving. Note:
Yesterday, Realm email invitations were sent by Parish Administrator, Leigh Dixon, to all persons reflected in the parish records. Once you have logged in, it will be essential to check your settings in order to maximize the benefits intended by our adoption of this new system.
Ministry Associate,
Elaine Wood,
and Parish Administrator,
Leigh Dixon,
are available to assist you with setup if necessary.
On behalf of my fellow Clergy, the Staff, and the Vestry, I look forward to sharing the rich season of worship, programs, and events that await us all. Please help me to spread the word about Sunday, August 20, and let's hold one another in prayer as our deeper journey into Christ continues.
God's peace, blessings, and in thanksgiving for the faith that binds us.
The Reverend Ollie V. Rencher, Rector
