Gather to Pray

Student Center Prayer and Dedication Sunday @ 4:00pm
Before we finish moving in and discipleship begins, join us for a time of prayer and dedication of the new Student Center and Gym.  Pastor Alex will be joined by former pastors Dr. Don Bouldin and Dr. Wayne Poplin for a time of worship, prayer and baptism.

While the building will not be 100% finished, it will be ready for our prayers!

Calling All Moms with a Preschooler
We are giving Mom a "Time Out!" Gather with fellow moms on the first Tuesday of each month to be encouraged and equipped to thrive. Come for food, fellowship, mentoring and fun! Things kick off Tuesday, September 5. Learn more and sign up here. 

Women: Registration for Fall Bible Studies is Now Open
Choose from 13 on-campus studies and 6 studies held in homes. Full details and study descriptions are located here.

Help disciple our Nearest (& youngest & cutest) while mom and dad attend Worship and their Discipleship Community! We currently have serving slots available in all preschool levels - Babies, Toddle rs & 2's, 3's, 4's and Kindergarten. If you are interested in serving, please email Rachel .

Seeking Community?
Come to The Bridge on Sundays at 11:00am beginning August 27. This eight-week connection invites people who are new to Carmel (or not yet engaged in a Discipleship Community) to participate in an interactive study on what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Details here!

Be Part of the Carmel Orchestra!
Auditions for the Orchestra will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00pm in the Choir Room. Please contact Lem or Whitney if interested. "With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!" Psalm 98:6

Starting Point & Connection Teams Celebration - August 30
Thank you to our Starting Point and Connection Teams. We are grateful for the way God works through you to connect people to Carmel. On Wednesday, August 30 we want to celebrate you! BBQ + Pencils
In partnership with Project 658 and Merry Oaks Elementary School, our Lighthouse Discipleship Community (DC) hosted a Back-to-School Cookout this past Saturday. Families enjoyed fellowship, played games, and picked up school supplies. Carmel serves monthly at Country Club Apartments - a complex that houses many of the refugee families served by Project 658 - details about each serve opportunity can be found here. 



On Sunday, September 10 - Meet the Neighbors!
Have you ever wondered what exactly Carmel Neighbor's ministry does in Charlotte? Would you like to know who Carmel partners with and ways you, your family and DC can serve? God is Moving in East Asia 
The East Asia team returned Sunday night from 10 days of cultural immersion and time spent learning from and encouraging those serving in an unexposed, unreached people group (UUPG) region. Learn more about UUPGs  here.
