Did Jesus descend into hell? (Part 1)  
One of the more puzzling questions about the redemptive work of Christ is where His soul went between death and resurrection. Some prosperity preachers contend that Jesus suffered in hell at the hands of Satan, but this cannot be true.
 

Did Jesus descend into hell? (Part 2)
If Jesus did not suffer in hell after His death, as some prosperity preachers contend, where did He go? Let's examine five New Testament passages that touch on the subject.

God's dwelling is with humanity
The greatest joy of the new heaven and new earth is restored intimacy with our Creator. In Rev. 21:3, John hears a voice from the throne of heaven declaring, "Look! God's dwelling is with humanity, and He will live with them."
Making everything new
In creation, God made everything out of nothing ( ex nihilo) and declared all that He made to be good. Sin ruined everything, but a day is coming when the Lord purges the cosmos of the stain of sin and sets everything right.
