Help Defend DACA & 
Support DACA Recipients!
 
This is a critical moment to help youth who have shown so much courage!                                            
  The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which currently protects nearly 800,000 young people from deportation and provides them work authorization, is under immediate and grave threat of survival. 
T en Attorneys General are threatening to sue the President if he doesn't eliminate DACA by September 5th-even as the 5th Anniversary of the DACA Program 
is THIS TUESDAY, AUGUST 15TH!
 
It is DEEPLY concerning that DACA could possibly end in the next few weeks-and especially as our faith calls us to "open your mouths to defend the rights...of the needy." (Proverbs 31:8)

DACA young adults are our Disciples neighbors, classmates, church leaders, and work colleagues.  They deeply inspire their families, and all communities touched by their determination to contribute to their families and country.
PLEASE PROTECT DACA RECIPIENTS IN THIS URGENT TIME!
 
The "We Are With Dreamers" letter demonstrates that elected officials, law enforcement, faith, and civic leaders stand with these young people and want to preserve the DACA program. We urge all local and national faith leaders, congregations, and faith-based organizations to sign on by filling out this form: bit.ly/FaithWithDreamers. PLEASE NOTE THAT SIGN ONS ARE NEEDED BY END OF DAY ON AUGUST 14TH, as signers will be published on August 15th! Please ask all faith leaders, congregations, and organizations you can, as well as elected officials, law enforcement, and civic leaders to please consider signing on!  
 
Also, PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING OVER 1,600 FAITH LEADERS TO SIGN ONTO THIS FAITH PARTNER LETTER IN SUPPORT OF DACA ASAP, to lift up the values of our faith to help pr otect "dreamers" with DACA status!
