  NBSB_s Camp Putnam Donation
Donna Tiso, North Brookfield Savings Bank Senior Vice President of Retail Lending and Camp Putnam Board Member along with Donna Boulanger, North Brookfield Savings Bank President and CEO presented a $2,263 check to Todd Stewart, Camp Putnam Executive Director for the NBSB Feed a Camper Fundraiser.

North Brookfield Savings Bank is pleased to announce the success of its "Feed a Camper at Camp Putnam" fundraiser, to help provide meals for young campers from low-income families. The fundraiser was held at all North Brookfield Savings Bank branch locations.

Altogether, the fundraiser allowed North Brookfield Savings Bank to present a $2,263 donation to Camp Putnam for campers that will attend the New Braintree camp. An initial $1,000 donation made by North Brookfield Savings Bank was followed by a very generous outpouring of donations totaling $1,163 coming from community members and customers at NBSB branch locations, and from NBSB employees through the Casual Jean Fridays program.

Camp Putnam provides a true camping experience for children and is affordable for all families regardless of income. It spends nearly $40,000 on food each summer, offering campers tasty yet healthy home-cooked and "kid-friendly" meals in a family-style atmosphere.

"We are so thankful to be a part of such compassionate communities who believe in giving back as much as we do," said Donna Boulanger, President and CEO of North Brookfield Savings Bank. "With the generous donations made by our community members, customers and NBSB employees, campers will be provided with well-rounded, nutritious meals when they are at Camp Putnam."

"As part of the 'Care and Share' mantra that's so central to our mission here, we are committed to providing campers with delicious, healthy meals," said Camp Putnam Executive Director Todd Stewart. "This donation from the Feed a Camper at Camp Putnam fundraiser hosted by North Brookfield Savings Bank will certainly be put to good use by helping offset the high costs of feeding hundreds of kids each year. We are very grateful for this support of the community."

Camp Putnam encourages and promotes emotional, social, intellectual and personal discovery for children in a safe, structured environment. To learn more about Camp Putnam, visit www.campputnam.org .

Cooking with Table 3: New England Seafood and Clambake

Outside at The Barn and Café Patio
Thursday, August 17, 2017,  6:30 pm

The New England clam bake is a traditional method of cooking seafood such as lobster, mussels, crabs, clams, and quahogs-often supplemented with vegetables, such as onions, carrots, and corn on the cob. For this Cooking with Table 3 event, Chef Tony will show us how to get traditional clambake results at home without setting the yard on fire or going through the pains of heating stones and gathering seaweed like the Wampanoag Indians did. This classic delicious menu is perfect for Summer family gatherings and Chef Tony will show you some "tricks of the trade" to make it a great hit. This special event will be hosted on our lovely patio between the Barn and Cedar Street Café at 420 Main Street. This is one that's not to be missed.

Please contact Danielle Green at 774-241-8450 to make your reservations.

Stageloft Theater Presents
Bathroom Humor
Bathroom Humor
By Billy Van Zandt & Jane Millmore

Russ and Lucille regularly throw parties at their large suburban home and invite the whole office.  Everyone feels obligated to go, but most would rather not be there. So...

Where can you go to escape the drunks, the stupid party games, and - worst of all - the "latest vacation" slides?  Where can you go to share the new gossip about office co-workers, their spouses, and their family members?  Where can you go to rendezvous with your secret office lover for a little hanky-panky, without the rest of the office learning about your affair?   Where can you go when want to hide your substance abuse problem, whether drinking too much or sampling the pills in the medicine cabinet? Where can you hide out and make adjustments when the new outfit you are wearing has a costume malfunction?  Where can you find peace and quiet, when you have become the object of nasty office gossip, jokes, or ridicule?  AND... Where can you NOT go if you have the need to "use the facilities" during an office party?

This ingeniously contrived play will have you feeling had you gone to this party you might have spent most of your time hiding out in... the bathroom.

This hilarious farce comes from the same pair of writers who brought you Lie, Cheat and Genuflect; Wrong Window! and Love, Sex and the IRS.

Bathroom Humor is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Last weekend!
August 18-20

300th Anniversary of Brookfield Churches

Church celebrations will take place on August 19, September 17, and October 14.

August 19, 2017 will feature a dramatized presentation by the First Congregational Church of West Brookfield of the events surrounding the Church's 1851 expulsion of Lucy Stone, who later went on to become a leading figure in the women's rights movement. Now, in a period when times and attitudes have changed, the Church will seek a reconciliation with her spirit. The event will start at 10:30 A.M. at the bandstand on West Brookfield Common, to be followed by further events and lunch in the Church.

By connecting shelters and businesses all over the world, #MoveToEndDV aims to change the way communities respond to domestic violence situations, help victims and survivors to start a new life through comprehensive community support, and help put an end to domestic abuse once and for all.
