AUGUST NEWSLETTER

Welcome to August.

Do you know how we know it's a big vacation month? Parking spaces in the front little lot. It's the single best indication that lots of people are out of town.

If you're one of the people enjoying sun, surf, lake, mountain, and ice cream for breakfast, LIVE IT UP!

Here at the salon it is generally still hopping. Taming the frizz and hiding those roots is a big deal! Color waits for no one...
( And yet, I type this with a head full of gray roots.)

We have some important staff news to share with you. Our darling Nicole has moved on to a full time job with Salon Centric, a distributor of salon products. We wish her only success! Nicole's clients can be beautifully coiffed by the stylists who are here. As a reminder, both Shelley and Leslie are certified to put in extensions.

In other staff news, Jaki will be out for the next six weeks or so due to an injury. Please send her healing vibes.

REMINDER: our summer hours are in effect through Saturday, September 9. We are here from 9:30 through 2:00. We will return to full hours on Saturday, September 16. (There may be crying involved...)

We are thrilled to announce that Angelica, who has shampooed your hair, massaged your scalp, handed your stylist foils and possibly even blown you out has been promoted to a junior stylist.

Angelica will need models for cuts, so if you know of anyone who needs a cut, consider having Ang cut their hair.
August is National Hair Loss month. It is estimated that one in four women experience hair loss or thinning. Last month we told you about the product we are now carrying called Bio-Repair 8. We also showed you a picture of one of our clients who is having great results. We have sold out of it three times now.

We have just found out from a reliable source that Color Proof is going to be introducing this in the travel sizes so you can try it out for a month and see what kind of results you get. We will stock it as soon as it is available.

Please speak to anyone at the salon about this product if you are interested.
Large box: $88
Travel size: $44

TAMPON UPDATE - I delivered tampons and samples of shampoo and conditioner to the
Jan Peek House on Thursday, August 3. I am THRILLED to report we donated over 1,600 tampons. This will go a LONG way to helping the women who use the services at Jan Peek House.

At the request of our clients, we are going to keep this drive going until the end of the year.

For the month of August, all donations are going to the Ossining Food Pantry. One of our clients volunteers there and mentioned that they too could use tampons. (As well as ANY paper products as a matter of fact.) So, with your generosity, we hope to be able to contribute as much to our local neighbors this month.

This is proof positive of a lot of women doing a little for the benefit of many. It makes your heart happy, doesn't it?

ALSO, with Jaki out, we may (we will) get backed up at the sinks since we will only have two assistants for a few weeks. We are thanking you in advance for your patience and understanding as we do our best to keep everyone running on time.

We look forward to seeing you soon. Enjoy this magnificent month.
