MARQUETTE CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL TO OFFER ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAMS FALL 2017

Michigan City, Indiana - December 6, 2016Marquette Catholic High School will launch its first associate's degree programs in fall 2017. Marquette Catholic University High School is a school within a school.

The program is an intimate, focused, high school program where students can earn a Core 40 with Academic Honors diploma while also earning college credits toward an Associate Degree through dual credit courses. The school's first degree programs will include majors in Business and the Liberal Arts and Sciences. The program will include a freshmen bridge program, internships, project-based and experiential learning, a one-to-one Apple technology platform, study abroad opportunities and global travel experiences, service opportunities and a mission to work for the Common Good.

Incoming freshmen families are encouraged to attend the informational session taking place in the school's Global Finance Lab, February 2 at 6:00 PM. The application process and program details will be discussed, as well as available scholarships and financial aid. Marquette Catholic will be offering an annual $2,000 scholarship for each student accepted into the cohort, pending the student remains in the program over their four years. When families consider the annual scholarship, the State of Indiana Choice Scholarship, and the fact the Ivy Tech university courses will be afforded through partnership dollars, many students will be able to earn their high school diploma and associate degree at Marquette Catholic for a minimal expense to the family.

Marquette Catholic High School's principal, James G. White states, "It is imperative as educators we always work to challenge the traditional way of educating our students. The University Program is the next step beyond our college preparatory curriculum. This is in addition to the school's recent promotions of global programs, expanded world language offerings and its finance trading lab. The university program will ensure college success, not simply acceptance into post-secondary education."
