Living Nativity
This Sunday, December 11, 6 p.m.

Celebrate the light that has come into the world on Sunday, December 11, at 6p,  in Stockley Gardens (at Raleigh Avenue).  
Parents can bring their children as early as 5:30pm to meet the animals. There will be a brief candlelight service at 6pm. Everyone is welcome to attend this free, family friendly event.  
Volunteers are needed.

Poinsettias
Orders due this Sunday

To place a poinsettia order for worship on Sunday, Dec. 18, click here to contact the church office.  For the bulletin insert, please indicate who the flower(s) are being placed in honor or memory of; and who they are given by. Cost is $12.00 each; orders and payment due by this Sunday, Dec. 11. 
Advent and Christmas
At Ghent UMC

Come to our worship services on each Sunday of Advent at 11 a.m. for advent candle lighting, music, and celebration.  Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service is on Saturday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m.  We will have our Christmas Day service on Sunday, Dec. 25, at 11 a.m.  Nursery is provided for all services. 
UMC Market is an online shopping tool where retailers (like Amazon) give 2-5% of your purchase back to our church.  Simply sign up for UMC Market and designate Ghent UMC as the organization who receives the retailers' donations.  Click here to get started.

Join the Movement

Our fundraising campaign has begun for our packaging event on Saturday, January 28, at 10 a.m.  Our goal is to raise $5,825.52 toward 20,088 meals.  Join the movement to end hunger in our lifetime; p lease prayerfully consider donating.
NEST
We Need Your Help

On January 4 - 11, GUMC will be responsible for NEST housed next door at Ohef Sholom Temple. We are responsible for providing meals and shelter for the homeless on Friday and Monday nights. Please help with this life saving mission.

Children's Church
This Sunday

During worship, we offer children's church for children ages 4 through 5th grade.  Children go to children's church during the scripture and sermon for a brief Bible lesson, activity or craft. To volunteer to lead, click here.
