I've been a Dali stalker lately. Ever since I came across a few strange exhibits of the infamous Salvador, I've been a fan. Not of his boring early stuff, mind you, but more of his "what was this guy on?" pieces. Salvador DalĂ was the Lady Gaga of his time-the guy making meat suits before it was cool, the man who almost asphyxiated himself in an old-school Jacques Cousteau-style diving suit at one of his art shows in Britain. He was definitely odd, but his art was fresh and new.

About a year ago, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman signed an executive order establishing an office of sustainability.
Now, a group of experts from New Orleans, Miami, Boston and Tampa Bay have come together in partnership with St. Petersburg officials to set strategies that can be used in developing a comprehensive plan to answer the problems presented by climate change and rising seas.

Tampa Bay Times: Rowdies to pursue move to MLS, Al Lang renovations
Tampa Bay Rowdies owner Bill Edwards wants to become part of first division Major League Soccer, announcing a campaign toward that goal during a highly-attended event before fans at the Birchwood in downtown St. Petersburg on Tuesday night.
A presentation included renderings of renovated Al Lang Stadium, which would have to be expanded well past its current capacity of around 7,000 for an MLS franchise. Edwards said renovations would be privately funded.

The Weekly Challenger: Home building resume in Bartlett Park
A small group of people consisting of city officials, investment bankers and members of the community gathered on an empty lot early Wednesday, Dec. 7 to celebrate the partnership between Neighborhood Home Solutions (NHS) and Wells Fargo Bank.
"We're here today to let you know that thanks to Wells Fargo, NHS will develop a new home on this lot along with four other homes in the Bartlett Park neighborhood," said NHS President and CEO Deborah Scanlan.
