School Delays & Closings
School delays and closings can sometimes be confusing and we want to make sure you know exactly what to do. We have posted an   FAQ page on our web site  where we answer these questions about what to expect and what's expected of our students.

Please take a few moments to read through the questions to find a scenario that might apply to you or your child. Many parents find it helpful to bookmark this page for future reference.

We are also providing this letter directly from our Superintendent, Mary Beth Freeman, about calamity days, what to expect, and why certain delays or closings are called.

Additional questions or special circumstances can be directed to PJ Taylor at (740) 203-2268.
Movie Screening - Most Likely to Succeed
We have partnered with the ESC of Central Ohio and Delaware Hayes High School to be able to show you this educational movie, "Most Likely to Succeed."

This is an opportunity to view the film (for free) and have an open discussion with other educators and parents as to how we can continue to explore different types of educational experiences for students. Here is what the ESC of Central Ohio has to say about it:

Most Likely To Succeed is the best film ever done on the topic of school - both its past and its future. The film inspires its audiences with a sense of purpose and possibility, and is bringing school communities together in re-imagining what our students and teachers are capable of doing. After seeing this film, you'll never look at school the same way again. The ESC of Central Ohio is pleased to partner with Delaware City Schools and the Delaware Area Career Center to host this screening for educators to imagine the possibilities.

The event is free, but we do ask that you register here.

Below are resources on the DACC web site that may be helpful to you. If you have questions that these resources do not answer, please don't hesitate to contact us at 740-548-0708.
