SunSplash Paddle in Paradise
Come celebrate summer at the 21st Annual SunSplash Paddle in Paradise Festival! This year, the popular festival runs from Wednesday, August 16 to Sunday, August 20, and promises fun for all. From the opening ceremonies in Paradise Park to our closing fireworks, you won't want to miss a moment of the excitement.

Throughout the festival, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Why not head to Family Goods Bingo, our Outdoor Movie, Family Fun Day, or the Outdoor Kitchen Party, featuring Shanneyganock, The Masterless Men and more? Looking for ways to get active? Come by the Youth Beach Volleyball Tournament, or the Paddle in Paradise Dragon Boat Festival. And if you're over 50, join us for a scenic bus tour of old St. John's.

Election 2017 Nomination Date
The Town of Paradise is holding its next municipal election Tuesday, September 26, 2017. The deadline for election nominations is August 31, 2017. 

If you're interested in running, be sure to visit our website for information on required procedures, forms and fees. Our Candidate FAQ Page provides additional information about the election process, eligibility, and campaigning regulations (signage, contributions, etc.).

Residents are reminded to view their voter registration status on our website. If you are not yet on the Voters List, or if any updates to information are required, please complete and submit the appropriate applications. Paradise Park Dedication
The Town of Paradise would like to acknowledge and thank the Pardy family for dedicating a plaque and area in Paradise Park in memory of family member Craig Pardy.

A dedication ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 1. The area overlooks the Town, and is a welcome addition to Paradise Park that will be enjoyed by all.
August 7 Civic Holiday Closures
The Town of Paradise is advising residents that Town Hall and the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre will be closed on Monday, August 7, 2017 due to a Town Civic Holiday. Day camp, Tri-Sport, and other recreation programs will also be cancelled on that day.

The Paradise Double Ice Complex, including the Body Quest Fitness Centre will remain open, as well as Splash Pad at Paradise Park.

The Town also advises that there will be no change to garbage and recycling collection.
Road Work Reminder
The Town of Paradise reminds residents of ongoing street upgrades and paving operations on Maple Drive. Road work is also continuing on the Karwood Drive and Topsail Road intersection. This work includes curb, gutter and sidewalk realignment, installation of traffic light sensors, and pole realignment at the intersection.

During road work, efforts will be made to minimize impact on traffic flow; however residents can expect some traffic delays. The public is reminded to use caution in areas. For information, visit our website
