Read more about exercise and cancer risk in this article from the American Institute for Cancer Research. Nice information to share during a session on breast or gynecological cancer!

GRAPEVINE PARTNER FEATURE:
Linda Guebert
|
|
Linda Guebert, Parish Nurse Manager with UnityPoint Health - Trinity, joined GrapeVine last fall after attending a regional practice session. As a Parish/Faith Community Nurse, her goal for becoming a GrapeVine partner was to teach classes in Faith Communities. However, with materials and topics that are relevant to all communities, Linda recently extended her reach and connected with the wellness coordinator at the Rock Island Arsenal to give a presentation to over 20 military employees. She presented Bone Health over their lunch hour in one building and made the session available via web conference, so employees could tune in live from other buildings! Aside from heightened security, the session was like any other GrapeVine session. Attendees were engaged, asked questions, and enjoyed the handouts. Linda also enjoyed the experience and is looking forward to returning to present the Advanced Care Planning unit.
Linda says she is thankful to be part of GrapeVine and looks forward to teaching more. Since she attended the recent GrapeVine Conference, she is trained to offer a greater variety of topics to her community. She currently is working on organizing a book club session!
We thank Linda and all our other GrapeVine partners for their hard work in innovating, impacting, and improving women's health!
