New Notification Feature
The City of La Habra Heights has launched its new notification feature on the City's website! By signing up, users will be informed on the latest city events, emergencies, road closures, notices, and much more. Users can get notifications via email and/or text.
Visit
www.lhhcity.org and on the right hand side of the website, click on the "Notify Me" graphic. Then, type in your email address. Once signed in, you will have the option of subscribing to all or some notifications to receive updates from. After subscribing, depending on which notification method chosen, you will receive a follow-up email and/or text. Make sure to confirm your subscription.

Second Annual Heights Watch
Fall Festival
On Saturday, September 9th from 10:00am to 4:00pm, the La Habra Heights Community Support Foundation will be sponsoring the Second Annual Heights Watch Fall Festival at The Park. There will be more than 35 vendors, fun activities, great food, and a preview of the upcoming 2018 Avocado Festival.

Calling All Volunteers - Become a Docent Naturalist
The Habitat Authority is looking for people who have a passion for nature and
enjoy
working with children and adults. Trained Docent Naturalists will lead and assist with hikes given to the public and school groups.
Training is free and covers the natural history of the Puente Hills flora and fauna. Docents also receive a Habitat Authority Volunteer Docent Manual and CPR certification.
Classes will be held Wednesdays, September 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and position requires flexible schedule and minimal annual commitment.

Fall 2017 CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Training:
September 9, 16, and 23 from 9:00am to 4:00pm
The City of La Habra Police Department will be hosting a CERT training for the Fall of 2017. Community members will have the opportunity to learn valuable emergency response/recovery skills, meet fellow community members, and receive a certificate to be a Volunteer Disaster Worker.
