The Co-op's Board of Directors invites members to submit nominations for the 2017 Board Election. Nominations will be accepted until  August 28, 2017.

WHAT IS THE BOARDS ROLE?
2017 Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the legal representative of the member/owners and,as such, is responsible for the overall well being of the Syracuse Real Food Co-op (SRFC).

WHAT THE BOARD DOES NOT DO
The Board does not involve itself in operational details. They do not make decisions about what the Co-op stocks, the specifics of personnel issues, or the design of the store.

Syracuse Real Food Co-op is a New York cooperative corporation, operating a retail natural food grocery store on Kensington Road.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The Board seeks candidates with the capabilities listed on our  website.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
To seek appointment to the 2017 Board of Directors, you must
  • be a member of SRFC in good standing,
  • be willing to devote time to prepare for and attend Board meetings and events, and
    2017 Annual Meeting
  • submit a Candidate Application and Certification of Compliance on or before Monday, August 28, 2017. Board Candidate Application.
BOARD COMPOSITION
Our Board is comprised of nine directors serving staggered, three-year terms. Members may be elected to partial (one or two-year) terms in the event that a director plans to resign before the end of their term.
