Since there are many other N.T. ways for God to deal with you, the fast generally is something Holy Spirit does
NOT OFTEN
tell us individually to do.
Kenneth Hagin was told only 3 times by the Lord to fast in over 60 years of ministry!
When Holy Spirit does tell a Christian to fast, it is a personal instruction ONLY intended for THAT person. This is true because as a Christian, God deals with every believer's life INDIVIDUALLY.
The closest we ever get to a corporate fast in the N.T. is the five-fold ministry in the church of Antioch. See Acts 13:1-4.
5 Specific facts govern the N.T. command from the Lord for someone to fast:
1. Holy Spirit has to TELL you to fast.
2. Holy Spirit will tell you the REASON for choosing a fast for you at this time.
3. Holy Spirit will tell you WHEN to start and WHEN to stop, or how long to fast.
4. Holy Spirit will tell you the OUTCOME AND VICTORY of the fast.
5. Holy Spirit will tell what TYPE of fast to observe.
In my 37 years of serving the Lord, He has told me to do a specific fast only twice!
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME NOW!
A WEEK AGO THE LORD TOLD ME TO ENTER A FAST IN PREPARATION OF 2017.
This is the most important year of our lives ever!
Sometimes people think we are just talking. NOT SO!
GOD'S NEW REVIVAL OF FIRE STARTS IN 2017!
THE REVIVAL OF 2017 WILL SET THE STAGE FOR EVERYTHINGGOD WILL DO FROM THE PRESENT ALL THE WAY TO THE RETURN OF JESUS!
I KNOW THIS IS TRULY THE ALPHA AND OMEGA OF OUR DESTINIES!
I believe this is the reason for God telling me SPECIFICALLY to do a 40 day liquid fast.
Only liquids for 40 days!
I know this will be hard on my flesh but I will ALWAYS OBEY the Lord.
I WILL do EVERYTHING He asks of me to do!
I KNOW THE GREAT IMPORTANCE OF 2017!
I AM FASTING AND PRAYING THIS 40 DAYS FOR BREAKTHROUGH FOR ALL OF US IN 2017!
THAT IS GOD'S INSTRUCTION TO ME!
After the Lord spoke to me, I felt led to look at the history of ORAL ROBERTS. In early 1947 he was led of the Lord to spend several months in fasting and prayer for his destiny. By May 1947 his ministry took off,.....and the rest is history, divine history!
Now 70 years later, a full generation later it is my turn,....and yours!
Dear people please pray for me as I walk this path with God.
Today is day 5 of fasting and prayer for me.
Perhaps you can ask the Lord what YOU can do to prepare for 2017.
Do not fast unless the Lord tells you to do so. Remember the 5 things required!
HOWEVER, DUE TO THE GREAT IMPORTANCE OF NEXT YEAR, ASK GOD WHAT YOU SHOULDDO TO PREPARE FOR 2017!
TIME IS UP TO SIT IDLE OR DO NOTHING!
YOU HAVE A PART TO PLAY IN YOUR OWN DESTINY!
LOCK YOURSELF AWAY WITH GOD AND SEEK HIS FACE!
SEEK HIM UNTIL HE ANSWERS YOU!
