FROM GAYLE
Dear Ones,
In the interest of full disclosure, I want to say that I love books.  I love books with shiny covers and catchy titles, books well worn and well read, books that have pictures and cartoons.  In a room full of books, I am spellbound and paralyzed with joy by the possibilities, by the sheer number of stories and distractions.

And that is what just happened to me as I sorted the 100s of books you donated this past week.  I would pick up a book, meaning to assign it to a grade level, and instead be caught up in the stunning art or bright photos or, best yet, a story I read as a child or to my children.  I am as moved by your generosity as I am by the potential for growth and the ability to dream that we are offering to the children at Williamson.  Thank you so much for this overwhelming act of love and investment in our neighborhood children. Our current total is 838, and with the books we get from !st Presbyterian, we will be able to offer each child 3 books to keep.

I don't need to preach about hope.  You show me.  Thank you!!

See you  Sunday!  Gayle+

ADVENT BIBLE STUDY,
GOD IS WITH US
You are invited to join us on Sunday mornings at 9:15  for a study of the lectionary readings for Advent and Christmas.  Our study of the Bible, our prayers, and our worship will be enriched by celebrating the presence of God as revealed by the Old Testament, Epistle, and Gospel lessons selected for each Sunday of Advent.   As we prepare our heart and life for the celebration of God's presence during this season of waiting, we will be ready to claim the new hope we have in Jesus Christ.
This study is led by David Hill.
All are welcome.
