Puerto Rico Hurricane Cancer Patient Assistance Fund

More than a month after Hurricane Maria touched down in Puerto Rico, residents are still struggling to access basic necessities. For those who are coping with a cancer diagnosis, the situation is dire.

In response, Cancer Care is providing financial assistance to cancer patients in Puerto Rico, and to residents of Puerto Rico with cancer who have evacuated to the continental United States.

Congratulations to Renee, #SurvivorSelfies Contest Winner!

Last month, we asked you to  help put a face to cancer survivorship and share what being a survivor means to you.

For Renee Miller, our contest winner who is living with metastatic breast cancer, survivorship means "rejoicing and hoping for one more day."

Help for Cancer Caregivers

Cancer profoundly affects family members, friends and others who are close to a person diagnosed with cancer. It can be especially difficult and overwhelming for the primary caregiver, who is often tasked with coordinating help from multiple people.

To help caregivers organize a network of support, CancerCare offers a simple online tool called My Cancer Circle - a free, private support community for caregivers of people facing cancer.
