The Community Roundtables Year 3 report: Bridging Cancer and Chronic Disease was developed to highlight successes and challenges of the third and final annual Community Roundtables. Roundtables brought cancer, chronic disease and community stakeholders together to integrate efforts and strengthen collaboration across three sites in May 2017. The GW Cancer Center recently released a report on the Pacific Island Jurisdictions CCC Coalition Technical Assistance Workshop that was held in May 2017. The workshop was convened to provide a forum for open dialogue on topics of interest to PIJ programs, including a review of the unique characteristics of PIJ programs and communities; chronic disease prevention and control (colorectal cancer screening, HPV vaccination, cancer survivorship); access to quality cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment services; understanding the needs of cancer survivors; and patient navigation. This free online training is the second of a two-part series on cancer control communication and is designed for participants who desire more in-depth training about the process of organizing a communication campaign. Interactive learning modules walk you through important concepts of collecting and using evidence in communication campaigns; developing campaign messages; using appropriate tactics and channels to reach intended audience; planning for campaign evaluation; and launching your campaign. In addition, Step 5 of Action for Policy, Systems, & Environmental (PSE) Change has resources on developing a communication plan around PSE change.
